Studies on Pulmonary Tuberculosis with Schizophrenic Reation


Abstract
It was well known that pulmonary tuberculosis is rather popular and widely communicated in Korea by nation wide study for late 20 years. Also psychiatric disorder especially chronic schizophrenic reaction is rather highly occupied in state hospital.
Thus. the author studied about chronic schizophrnic patients with complicated pulmonary tuberculosis that were 216 cases among the 5,455 patients of schizophrenic population, and evaluated in clinically.
The results were as follows:
1. Classification of sex ratio in pulmonary tuberculosis were male 165 female 51, respectively 4.2%, 3.0%. in total schizophrenic population.
2. Minimal, Moderate, Far advanced were each 80%, 16%, 4%.
3. Incidences period for schizophrenic with tuberculosis were under 1 year in 62
cases, 27%; approximately.
4. Age distribution in schizophrenic reaction with pulmonary tuberculosis were 51 casts 23% in 3rd decades with maximum.
5. Mortality rate of tuberculosis in schizophrenic population were 19 cases in 216 patients for 5 years.
